Pregnancy books/Magazines
So im seeing alot of people give me advice to not read certain books etc etc. But i do want to educate myself on things, for this is my first child and i have NO ideas how to raise or take care of a baby.
Are there any book or magazines you can recommend? I am so new to all this and want sound literature that can explain things and tell me things i should know
Thx

Re: Pregnancy books/Magazines
My insurance company actually sent me the Mayo Clinc's guide to a Healthy Pregnancy. It's not scary to read at all. It's a large book, but I find it very useful.

Re: Pregnancy books/Magazines
I also like Your Pregnancy Week by Week. Make sure to sign up on BabyCenter.com because that site offers up a lot of good information and will send you weekly updates on your baby. I highly recommend picking up a copy of Baby Bargains. That has actually been the book I used most. My doctors office gave me copies of Pregnancy and Fit Pregnancy magazines. So there is probably no need to run out an buy mags.

I really like this book. IMO, it's informative without being scary.
For a fun read, I love Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy and Belly Laughs.

Hey M!
Obviously I stalk you...
You should maybe try "Fit Pregnancy" - I feel like that's something you'd like! I've perused an issue or two in the bookstore!

Re: Pregnancy books/Magazines
I recommend the following: Pregnancy week by week (For the real baby info) What to expect when expecting (Even though I didn't get this one, I heard it was good) A girlfriends guide to Pregnancy (It is really funny and has some good information) Baby bargains Book ( I just started reading this one and it has some great info on the best products out there. I started highlighting the best products and figured I will write them all down when I register).

Re: Pregnancy books/Magazines
I pick up Fit Pregnancy at the newsstand.
Other than that-- I have a few books which I rarely crack. When I have a question, I come on here or google it.

Definitely get Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy! It's hysterical and just what you need now!
As far as educational, I would sign up for Babycenter.com and whattoexpect.com, they have weekly updates that I found really helpful.
Baby 411 is GREAT for when you come home with the baby.

I liked "Pregnancy Week by Week" the best. I like it better than What to expect when you're expecting.
Definitely get Baby Bargains for shopping!
