pregger crashing with question

any moms out there who never dialated and/or never dropped but went into labor on time? im due friday im afingertip dialated and didnt drop yet the dr wants me to come in next thurs 7/23 for a nst and to montor the baby. if u i go past that they will induce the 26th i feel like thats sooo far away just wondering if anybody had similar situation thanx

I never even had an internal exam...so I am zero help, sorry, I hope someone else has better advice!

I looked like I dropped but Dr said her head was still high..I was 2-3 cm dilated for 2 weeks and the morning of the day I went into labor I was stil 2-3 cm dilated and still 50% effaced...I had my exam that morning and completely thought I was off that day, that night I went into labor and had DD 2.5 hours later

ETA: I was due on 12/24 went into labor the night of the 19th and had her 1:30 am on the 20th

I did not dilate or drop. I went 10 days late and had a sceduled c-section.

I never dropped and was 2 cm dilated for weeks. I had DD 2 days before her due date. I also WALKED and WALKED and WaLKED for the three days before I went into labor. I really think it helped. I was at the point were I couldn't walk far without having to pee, so I would go to places with bathrooms near by. Target, Kohls, Walmart, the mall etc. Walking through the neighborhood was to far for my bladder to handle.

Forgot to add I had a vaginal delivery with pitocin.

I had a scheduled c-section at 39+ weeks. I was zero dilated, zero effacement and DS was not even that low into the pelvis. Per my OB, I would have been past my due date if I had had a vaginal delivery and wait for DS to make his appearence.
