pre natal vit Q
will i need to take a calcium supplement with the prenatals? (like what i do with my regular multi vits)
are the viactiv calcium chews ok?

the only supplement i added when TTC'ing was Folic Acid - since that is one of the MOST IMPORTANT things your body needs in the first trimester....
America's Choice has one that is 800 mcg per pill - and that's ALL you need!

I just asked my pharmacist this (didnt have time to call the dr yet), and she said that most pregnant women do not need to take an extra dose of calcium outside of their prenatal. I will ask my dr though , bc the calcium in my prenatal seems low. I wouldn;t take anything without asking your dr!

Viactive made me really....unable to go to the bathroom! You have to watch with lots of calcium.

My Dr told me I can get any kind of over the counter. I have the Target brand and have had no problems using the bathroom.

my dr told me to take 1000mg of calcium in addition to the prenatal. she said the folic acid is in the prenatal she gave me so i don't have to add that on, but definitely add on the calcium. i got the viactiv chews too :)
