pre-lit christmas trees
I'm looking to buy a fake Christmas tree. Are pre-lit trees a worthwhile investment? Or should I just buy a regular one and add my own lights?
I am leaning toward a regular one, but pre-lit ones are so tempting!

I have both - and don't like the pre-lit one because I feel it has too many lights. It's also very dense, so I can't hang my larger ornaments on it.

Totally agree! Had ours for 6 years and it is GREAT!
on ours if one light goes out it doesnt affect the whole strand. But we have had to replace a few lights over hte last 6 years, but nothing too major.
We bought ours at BJs for like $150 Still looks great!

I have no patience to string the lights or to take them off and pack them up nice so they don't get tangled, so PRE LIT is the way for me!

I had both a pre lit and a regular one.
Definitely the pre-lit is better. SO much better

We bought our pre-lit tree 7 years ago and although we noticed some lights out last year (the entire back of the tree) my dh fixed it pretty easy. You just need to test a bunch of lights to figure out which bulb is the dead one. Def. worth the $ since it's going to be our 7th christmas with the same tree and it's still looks gorgeous.
