I am stimming for my IVF cycle and they might have to cancel as I have two follies that are way larger than the rest (and there aren't too many in total). My RE might want to cancel if they think they are only going to retrieve 4 mature eggs. This is my fourth IVF - successful with the third cycle and was blessed with my beautiful son. That cycle they retrieved 17, 10 were mature, and I had 4 transferred. So I don't have a history of poor response.
I'm kinda bummed that I might have been doing all of these injections for nothing!
Any extra prayers would be greatly appreciated!
7/22 - yup, they canceled my cycle. He thought he would only be able to reyrieve 3 mature eggs. Bummer. He thinks it might be a flukey cycle b/c I haven't had this kind of problem on my other 3 cycles. Oh well... this is why we started so soon after Ben.
when will they know? you can always stim a little longer no? Not sure if that effects the 2 that are good now or not?
The problem is that when you ovulate - you ovulate. I would have to trigger before the two large ones are released. Stimming longer will just push me through ovulation and all woul be released (mature or not).
Basically I am hoping to hear that the smaller ones caught up - or at least matured more - so I would have more than 5 mature for retrieval.
I find out in 9 1/2 hours. I am on pins & needles.
