PRAYERS are needed please!!!
hello ladies, quick backround-last august had preterm labor at 22.5 weeks due to water breaking, lost   now i am going to be 20 wks preg this tuesday. i am monitored every week mondays at ob and fridays at high risk well up till now all has been just wonderful, until yesterday when they measured my cervix it has now funneled. last week it measured a 3.8 this week down to a 2.7. i have now been diagnosed w/ ic. i am waiting for the call mon am to hear when i am going in for an emergency cerclage(stich) and due to my loss last year and now this,they plan on keeping me in winthrop several months assuming i make it that long.i have not been back there since my 3.5 wk stay last yr an honestly cant even imagine going back. i have such sad painful memories and i will be on the same floor. i know i should be thankful that we caught this b4 water broke or preterm labor happend but my fear of all the what ifs is taking over. i cant bare the thought of losing another me and dh are trying to be positive. please keep us in your prayers that the surgery is a success and we come home w/ a living baby. thanks for reading this long post.

I am so sorry you had to go through that and for your loss !!
My cousin had IC and continued her pregnancy and in the end she had to do this 3 x's to be able to keep her babies and they were born a little earlier but they were healthy !! I believe this time around everything will work out for you ! Im sure it will be a tough road ,but definately worth it in the end !!
I will keep you and DC in my prayers !!

I"m very sorry you had to go through that very trying ordeal I do believe everything will work out for you and your  now that your docs are keeping on top of this . best of luck to you!!!

I'm sorry you have to return to a place linked to such a sad memory....
this time, however, I think things will be much better. It stinks that you have to get the cerclage and be in the hospital, but on the flip side, the situation was caught before it became dire... your little one will likely be fine.

You and DH are doing the right thing... REMAIN positive. This is a blessing they caught it early. I will keep you in our thoughts. If you cant give us updates have your hunny sign on and give us the update. Good luck we will be thinking of you

Hi I can only imagine the fear and mixed emotions you are feeling. . As one who stayed itn he hospital almost her entire pregnancy I wont lie to you and say its not difficult BUT and its a big BUT each day you get to hear that little heartbeat a couple of times a day and it just keeps you going. You get to see the baby and any time you have moments of breakdown the nurses are wonderful and understanding they will do whatever it takes to help you stay motivated--for me it was usully just listening to the heartbeat and knowing that was the reason I was there. I would have endless conversations with my belly..and you will too.
If you need advice on how to cope just FM me.

Susan- many MANY prayers and healthy pregnancy vibes to you. I cannot imagine the pain of losing your DD and then having to go through the same fear again.
I know there are quite a few women here who also had IC- so I know you'll get some helpful insight and advice from them.

You are in my prayers. Just remember....in only a couple of weeks your little one has an excellent chance of survival with no problems. You will get through this. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know exactly how you feel. When I went into preterm labor with my 2nd set of twins I didnt want to go to North Shore Manhasset b/c that's where I had lost my first set 11 years before..those memories are still very vivid for me. Fortunately they were able to send me to LIJ instead. It was a tough road all around but one that was well worth the trip. Just take it week by week....

I pray that everything works out and I know it will. You are being monitored closely and they are taking care of it right away.
Focus on the fact that Winthrop has an amazing NICU unit, so if you do go early everything will be okay. My friends daughter was born there 14 years ago at 27 weeks and is fine.

S~I'm sorry to hear about this. Thankfully, it was caught during your appt. YOu know my history. And, just last week my cervix was 2.7. I was sent home again for a week, went back on Friday and it went back up to 3.5 and able to return to work, so Please stay positive. I will FM.
