I respectfully disagree that with the statement that it was never their land. The Palestinians had every right to live there and still do. I am not saying that Israelis should be forced to leave their own country either but its quite obvious that something has to change?
Whatever your view is, I think we can all agree that we don't want to put the news on and hear about ANY one else dying.
I don't want anyone to die either. I wish Hamas would agree to, and stick with a cease fire. Out of curiosity, do you believe that every descendant should be able to live in Israel, or should only displaced people be given a right of return. Do you believe that reparations should be paid to the descendants of slaves? What about better treatment of American Indians? How about the Roma- should they be able to claim property rights in Europe? The world is not a fair place. I am not sure how to right past wrongs.
I think a good start would be to a fair 2 state solution. There has to be a compromise.
It's quite obvious that they will never, ever, destroy Israel.
The problem is that Hamas' stated goal is exactly that, to "destroy Israel." Until Hamas recognizes Israel has a right to exist and accepts a cease fire, I wish that a simple two state solution could occur.

These are all pro Jewish. I'm not against reading them but I'd like some views in the other side. I want to read both sides. I truly believe as someone who is neutral I need to read views from both sides.

Still support Israel?
Based on the ops most recent statement, I don't know that they want that...I've been holding back..the situation in Israel upsets me greatly...I just don't remember many sympathizers for terrorists when they hit close to home...I do feel bad for all truly innocent people who have died but also feel bad for the obvious brainwashing that might have keep them there

One side has PUBLICLY said that their ONLY goal is to kill all the Jews and destroy Israel. The other side has agreed to numerous peace accords and agreements and only wants to protect its citizens.
One side hides rockets IN A SCHOOL, the other side warns the civilians of their enemy about impending military strikes with the goal of minimizing casualties.
Hamas is a TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. I don't understand.

MrsYank. Please tell me how you defend a group that has stated in its charter that its only mission and goal is to drive all the Jews into the sea and destroy Israel. That it will NOT accept any other option.
How is Israel at fault, when that is what it is dealing with? Look up the history of peace agreements, and you will see. Every single one has been violated, or turned down, by Palestinian leadership. They do not WANT a fair, equal solution. They want to kill the Jews. The end.
And you defend them.

FYI being Jewish and being a Zionist are not necessarily the same thing. I know many Jews who are not zionists, and people who are not Jewish who are.

The point she was making was that Palestinian citizens are taught from a very young age to hate Jews. Hamas is their leadership. They elected a terrorist group into government. They control the schools, the media, etc. So the views of the general Palestinian public ARE very much in line with Hamas.

This is untrue...absolutely untrue. Please stop fueling the hate. You are one of the reasons that this issue continues. Palestinians civilians and Israeli civilians generally get along and there are many organizations there on both sides that promote unity between Arabs and Jews.
