Potatoes in a Can??
So, Dh went grocery shopping without me and bought potatoes in a can..I never bought them before, didn't even really know the existed until last year. I figured I'd cook them tonight to get rid of them.
How does this work? Do I need to cook them as long as regular potatoes? I usually bake them with garlic and onion and some olive oil..with fresh potatoes- it takes up to an hour..How long would it take with the canned ones?? TIA

Re: Potatoes in a Can??
canned potatoes are in water and typically already soft so they take less time to cook. I usually just make homefries!

I throw them in the baking dish with a meatloaf or roasted chicken--quick and easy

I usually just fry them in a pan with some garlic and onion and served as homefries.

Re: Potatoes in a Can??
I use them all the time...I've even used them to make potato salad, which everyone seems to love. I've made mashed potatoes, I used them in a fritatta, stir fry with garlic and olive oil. They are so good and so quick!
