Postpartum periods? *way tmi*
Hey everyone,
I've asked a few of my girlfriends, but none of them have kids yet, so I'll ask you guys. Ever since having my child my periods have been horrific! Very heavy, terrible cramps and even bad bloating/pressure in my abdomen and rectal area Is this normal? My periods were NEVER like this. Any insight?
Thanks for reading, sorry if I've offended anyone!

Re: Postpartum periods? *way tmi*
I remember my first period after having DD was so bad I actually called my OB thinking I was hemmoraging to death. They assured me it was normal. It did lessen over time, but it's still much heavier than it was before I had a baby. I never used to have to use Super plus tampons, now I rely on them.

Re: Postpartum periods? *way tmi*
My perioids were horrible after my first dd. Id say the first 4 months were the worst. I also called he ob because I thought something was horribly wrong. I went back on the pill after 4 months and they improved a lot. Im still waiting for my period after my second dd and I'm scared to see what's to come!

Re: Postpartum periods? *way tmi*
I didn't get my 1st PP AF until DD was 13 months (she was still BF). I was dreading it after reading so many stories about how awful the 1st (and even subsequent) periods are . . . Mine was actually much better than my normal AF's! I had minimal bleeding and no cramps, it was a very pleasant surprise! I got pg the following month so that's the only PP AF I had but it was not bad AT ALL. This seems to be very unusual though.

After DS my periods were normal however after DD it was so heavy. It eventually went back to the way that it was prior to being pg but it took a couple of cycles.

So odd how everyone is different.... I used to be in debilitating pain before having my DD. After, I got my 1st period at 9 mos old & then started regularly at 12 mos (still BF'ing, even at 16 mos) and they are sooooo much better! Hope they don't get worse with future kiddies!

I wonder if its related to bf...
I BF for 3m as soon as I stopped I got AF... 1st, 2nd, 3rd, was okay... 4th, 5th, 6th owww! 2 years later I am popping ibuprophen and feel like Im dying couple days a month.
