post your accomplishments!

I needed a positive post so I'd like to hear about other's accomplishments they'd like to brag about!

For me..... I've been slowly changing my eating habits since my separation 6 months ago and started Couch 2 5K (even though I keep redoing week 1 over and over), and I'm down 20 pounds! Chat Icon

The scale keeps going up and down (b/c I loves me some nachos with queso!), but the overall trajectory is down. I don't see a change in my clothing (they still feel tight), but I can feel it physically when I'm walking around or going up steps.

Next I'm going to add some yoga or the Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution DVDs (3 month program).

Wow - that’s awesome! I actually think it’s harder to do it that way bc it takes a lot of will power. I once lost 20 pounds in a month backhand gallbladder issues and was afraid to eat bc any small amount of fat would land me in the ER and it was rough. But the weight loss was all from diet and zero exercise.

I had my gallbladder removed long ago so its not a concern for me this time around.

As for willpower, yeah there is a lot of it. But in the end the cookie is not worth 3 hours on the treadmill for me so I just prioritize.

Congrats on your loss!

Thank you! We did one in Greece and we were so out of shape but it was an awesome experience. Now we are addicted to the races and want to be more fit for our second!

My husband is down 17lbs and needs to lose like 70. I’m happy he is finally exercising and eating right! My problem is I’ll do one without the other, lol. This time I’ve been working out to build my core and eating right.

Fully committed to losing weight on 1/2 (before that I was trying to eat healthy, but it wasn't enough). I've been tracking my calories and trying to fit in some exercise. I know diet is most important for weight loss, but I also want to be more fit.

Down 10lbs. Finally at my pre-pregnancy weight (after 3 years) though I'm still overweight, so my goal is to lose another 20lbs.

You guys are all doing amazing!

I have been doing “lazy Keto” for a while - basically ALWAYS keeping carbs under 20 grams, but not counting protein or fat like people on strict Keto do. I started this really to break the sugar/carb addiction more than to lose much weight, though I lift a ton, and figured I’d look way more toned if I lost some fat. I am down about ten pounds and am slowly breaking the carb addiction - but holy moly it can be hard.

Re: post your accomplishments!

I gained two pounds this week! I know that sounds silly, but I have been trying to put on weight. I’m just happy to feel like I can eat again (I have had a horrible reaction to medication).

Congrats, still an accomplishment. My sister is going through a horrible separation and last year lost 40lbs in like a month. She got scary thin and looked sickly. She gained 15 back and we were so happy. She looks healthy now.

It’s so scary how sickly thin you can look going through a divorce. I think I lost about 30 pounds in about 3 months. I’m now down a lot and I hate it— nothing fits and I just want to eat damn it!

And I’m sorry if this seems insensitive. I’ve also been on the opposite side and understand. I didn’t think I would ever have this problem in my life.

Re: post your accomplishments!

Doing WW with DH, I'm down 12 pounds since the beginning of November.
Going slow, but steady, even with all the stuff life is throwing at me. Haven't had the urge to eat my troubles away like I used to, and I'm not having food cravings.

Best is, DH is actually following the plan and doing well. First time ever for him, and that is major.
He's had ups and downs, but most importantly, he is learning the right way to eat.

I did Whole30 last July and lost 9lbs.
Kept eating that way (mostly paleo) until doing another strict round in January and have lost a total of 28lbs.

Whole30 completely changed the way I think about food. I would recommend reading It Starts With Food!

Re: post your accomplishments!

Well I know it's not very impressive but I have lost about 7 pounds in the past couple of months. During my maternity leave last year I'd gained about 10 pounds from sitting around all the time & eating too much & my clothes felt tight & I felt gross. Just have been trying to eat healthier/ more water, protein, fiber... and increase my activity. So I'd like to lose at least 5 more pounds but I'm happy with my progress so far. It definitely goes on more easily than it comes off, that's for sure.

I've had the Jillian Michael's Body Revolution DVDs for 4 years and I finally started the program (yesterday and today). It's a 3 month program, and my legs already feel like jello!

Lost 8 lbs in just a few weeks which is what i wanted to do before my trip to mexico next week! I am 4’11” so even 5-10 lbs shows in me.

I don’t deprive myself just upped my physical activity and focus on 80% of my food intake being nutritious.
