I have the Hunter ones too - but, gotta be honest, I don't love the look of them anymore. THey get this ugly white chalky look and overall just don't like them. I saw someone wearing a pair of low sperry ones today - loved them! oh and, i know someone that has theBR ones postedabove and they are super cute in person!

Mine have that chalky stuff all over them too. Someone said that if you rub olive oil on a paper towel on them, it'll come off. Honestly, that just seems like too much work for me. I don't really care how they look...I need them for all the puddles I walk through on my way to work!

Blooming isn't exclusive to Hunter boots...it happens with rubber and much like leather or suede, rubber needs to be treated. I've rubbed older boots with oil and it worked well.
