Post Office Holding Mail
Do you need to submit everyone's name at an address to get a hold on mail?

I was going to ask a similar question, DH and I live here and I need to do a 'hold mail', can I only do it for me and still have DH get his mail? I only want them to hold my mail....

We always have our mail stopped when we go on vacation and we just put in one of our names. It's a simple form online to fill out (and there's only one spot for a name).

I'm not sure how you'd go about holding just ONE person's mail, though.

No I do this whenever we go away -I put DH's name in and in the notation I put please hold all mail for this address. I just went and checked by trying to put my name in for our upcoming vacation and it said all mail to this address is already on hold.
I usually put it on hold for the day before we go b.c if we get mail that day it gives me time to fix it if they messed it up.

In my experience you have to put each person's name or they will only hold the mail for the person you submit the form for but my post office is awful! We moved and they delivered our mail to our old address with the yellow change of address sticker on the envelopes.

I went to put in my dh and it said there was already a hold on this address so I guess I just answered my question.
