Post about Trump's actions as POTUS here
Can we use this one thread about all of the issues related to Trump and his new administration now that he was sworn in?
I read that he has still not resigned from his businesses as he said he would
I also heard he signed legislation about a new national holiday "national patriots day"
And there was a very general order about easing burdens of the ACA?

Not necessarily directly a trump action but the national park service has been ordered to suspend all Twitter accounts after retweeting a side by side shot of inauguration crowds of Obama vs Trump as well as a one about the missing Whitehouse web pages. Many park visitors rely on those Twitter feed for up to date info on weather, etc.

The ACLU has filed suit because of this already. They are asking for the documents to be made public.

He appointed one of the lawyers who defended North Carolina's discriminatory "bathroom law" to the civil rights division. Makes sense.

This goes against the very nature of a discussion board. To try and marginalize a huge range of discussion topics will make things slightly easier for a handful of people, but extremely more difficult for difficult for everyone else.
How can you have a meaningful (or a rant session, depending on your point of view...  ) on a topic when there are 50+ topics going on in one thread.
Even people who have strong feelings one way or another on Trump, may have different feelings on one particular topic being discussed. Having everything in one thread will hide many topics.
I encourage a Politics forum, but I can't condone having one thread for all political topics.

Agree. With everything going on it's going to get very confusing to confine it all to one thread. But I'm sure it will make a lot of pro-Trump people happy to go back to posting about tips and such without having to worry about reality.
It would be nice to have a political board. But, the description of the FHF board does seem to fit. These are OUR families concerns.

I agree! Hope you're not talking about me?! I can see the entire forum filling up with even more different posts now that he has power. As an ANTI TRUMP person i am having a hard time keeping up. So this was a suggestion for me personally to keep up with topics.

I agree that things are happening quickly and will be hard to keep up with the posts but imo cramming ALL the fcuk ups into one thread is actually counterproductive and a disservice. These posts are important. As citizens they concern us all, whatever party you affiliate with and regardless how you feel about Trump. Important messages will easily get lost. Imagine how many pages it will grow into!
Maybe it will get tptb to finally create a new board.

I've been tracking post counts over the years, and even with the current political threads, we're at less than 1/4 of the threads we had on an average year. Back in the heyday, a thread would wind up on Page 3 in a few hours. Now, it takes several days or more to get that far down.
I keep looking at the posts on Page 1 and thinking "Wow, even with the political posts, there are almost no threads going on here..."

Why can't they just change the name of one of the existing boards that hasnt had any activity in awhile? It hasn't been touched in a year. It make sense to have separate threads. It's a lot easier to keep track of the issues

These political threads IS what's keeping this message board alive. It's sad to say but LIF is on life support.
Trump continues to be a PATHOLOGICAL LIAR. He has lied about things that are easily disputed on his FIRST day as POTUS. This administration is starting off VERY BADLY. SAD!
