I read this in an Ann Landers column when I was a teenager. It's yellowed and torn and still in my old photo album. I needed this message at just the right time in my life and I honestly think it affected me in all the years since.

Another favorite (more a poem than a quote).. but it is framed in the playroom of our home and I read it to my boys often:
