Ok...so after 2 46 day cycles, 3 visits to the doctor and an extensive blood test, my doctor believes I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome!!!! She said that I am a totally atypical person to have this because most people with POS have issues with weight, a history of irregular cycles, and other medical conditions. I am thin, have no medical issues (BESIDES THIS NOW), and didn't have irregular periods until this started happening in June. I just don't understand!!!! I am trying to keep my hopes up! She seemed pretty optimistic for me and said since I don't really fall into the typical POS category that it might be temporary. I am not ovulating though and I had an LH surge when I had my blood test and oddly....I had my PERIOD!!!! So now she thinks I can't even use OPK's because im getting LH surges when I am not supposed to!!!!  I am trying to be optimistic and praying this is just temporary but it is so hard to stay in high spirits!!! She said if my cycle doesn't regulate in 3 months I have to go on Clomid. I knew getting pregnant might take some time however, I didn't think I would have any problems!!! I can't even try now because I am not ovulating!!!! I am frustrated....thanks for listening to my vent if you made it this far...this forum has been my saving grace!!!!

 I have a friend who has serious PCOS, they started ttc knowing it might take a looong time. They ended up getting pregnant after a few cycles when they weren't even really ttc. So anything is possible. I am sorry your going through this. We are here for you.

Thanks for the uplifting information! I refuse to go to the infertility board yet!!! I feel like maybeeeeeee my body will regulate on its own. The doctor couldn't understand how this just happened so suddenly so I am praying my body decides to cooperate soon!

You are not infertile. You are ttc, and your in the right place.
