poll re: pregnancy sympton
can you tell me what you are having and if your face broke out.
A co-worker just came up to me and said that I am having a boy because my face broke out pretty badly (gee, thanks if I wasn't self conscious already!) and it's due to the hormones of the boy.
Not sure if this is true so wanted to take a poll.

I thought the old wives tale was the opposite? That bad skin = girl? Unless I'm confusing that with how they say a girl steals your beauty?
I have bad skin right now but I don't know what I'm having yet.

i was team green, but had a girl. i answered "no-having a girl"
my skin was the best it's ever been while pregnant. also, my eye brows didn't grow at all. don't know if it has anything to do with gender, though.

Not one pimple, not one change to my face, not even weight gain and I am having a  MANY people have said "oh you must be having a boy bc your face hasn't changed"..I think it is an urban myth but whatever lol

I'm team green, but my face hasn't changed either.. same ol' face.. I have gotten both boy and girl comments.. depends on their school of thought..  some think, girls add beauty and others, girls steal beauty..

I am having a girl but I dont want to say I broke out because I really didnt. However I have had more pimples and blemishes that I normally wouldn't have. I typically have very clear skin. Now I just see a few every now and then.

I didn't answer your poll but I can share my experiences. this is my second pregnancy. I already have a and am pregnant with now. My face has not broken out with either pregnancy so sorry I am no help.

All I know is this is the first time I have ever had pimpleS (plural) and they come and go as they please.

DC 1 was a boy, and I broke out. My dermatologist said the same thing, that it is due to the testosterone in your body.
It's not so bad this time, but not as good as non-PG skin. But I am also using fewer products since I don't want to use clearasil since it's bad for the baby, so....Who knows.
