POLL: Preggo bellies in bikinis
DH and I leave in less than 4 weeks for our baby moon ( ). I got one maternity tankini for the trip for $12 but I haven't found another so cheap and it's killing me to buy a bathing suit for 5 days. I have a gazillion suits, just all bikinis.
So, parading around your preggo belly in a bikini - Yay or Nay?
(I'll be 25-26 weeks while we're away, if that makes a difference.)

I don't mind at all when others do it, but I just couldn't. I'm just self conscious about my belly.

Over the summer I refused to do the tankini thing. I bought one and returned it.
The last time I bared belly was Labor Day weekend (ironically!) and I felt like people were staring at me. It made me feel a little weird, but it was all good....

That's the question  I think it's adorable on other people... but I don't know if I'm comfortable doing it for me.
Whoever said Nicole Richie, it's so funny - her pic is the one that made me post this! I'm carrying fairly similarly to her (though she got more boobs, lucky girl) and I think she looks very cute... but I'm not sure I think I'd look very cute. Does that even make sense

I love preggo's in bikinis, but personally - would not be comfortable. I would feel like people would be looking at me and making comments (good and bad)!

I went away at 28 weeks and wore tankini's. My boobs didn't fit into my pre-preggo bikini tops anyway.
I personally don't feel comfortable parading around my bare belly, but that's just how I am.

I totally love it and I say go for it. I wore a bikini up to about 22 weeks when the summer ended... We are going on a babymoon next week and I wont be wearing a bikini only because my belly button is half popped out and it looks gross. even i dont want to look at it. If it wasnt for that, I would totally wear a bikini still. But, I think I am going to opt for the tankini which will cover the awful belly button situation.

I think it's cute! We went to the beach tons this summer and I wore a bikini throughout which for me went to about 34 weeks. In fact, I never even bought a maternity bathing suit and just wore my regular bikinis. DH loved it.

When we went on our cruise I wore a bikini twice and wore tankinis twice. I see nothing wrong with it, but I wasn't comfortable by a crowded pool... I didn't mind when I was on the beach though. I think part of it was that the tops didn't fit me the way they used to and I felt like I was spilling out.
I say go for it! I'm sure you look cuter than you think you do.

I've seen photos of you and YOU would look cute in a bikini, so I voted Yay.
I, on the other hand, would have scared people in a bikini pre-pregnancy, so it would be a NAY for me. I saw a few people in Aruba pregnant in bikinis and they looked great.
