POLL 2: What type of bed?

So here is a follow-up poll to my last poll...LOL.

As I said in my other poll we want to use Ds #1's crib for DS#2. When Ds#2 is 4 months old DS#1 will be about 22 months old. Which is when we would need the crib.

What types of bed would you put DS#1 into?

Toddler? Twin?? or Full?

The room he'll be going into is larger than his current room.

We did a full bed because the size of DS's room was decent, and when we get OOT guests, it's nice to have extra space to sleep.

DD slept in my room until DS asked to sleep in a "big people bed" which was at 24 months. Then everyone swapped beds and rooms - DD took the crib and DS got a full bed!

Re: POLL 2: What type of bed?

DS has been sleeping in a full size bed since he's been 19 months. DH convinced me and said that unlike a toddler bed, if he woke up in the middle of the night, etc we would be able to lay down with him.

It was the best decision we've made. DS was sick and we didn't change anything sleeping arrangements because one stayed in his bed until he fell asleep. He room is a decent size and he still plays in there when he wakes up. We read bedtime stories togther in his bed and we are comfortable.

Most important, if he wants to get in our bed, we just led him back to his room and laid down with him until he fell asleep. It broke his habit pretty quick.

We just put DS (23 months) into a racecar bed with a crib mattress but it also holds a twin mattress which we will switch too when he's a little bigger

Re: POLL 2: What type of bed?

i think we'll be going with a twin bed when Ds is about 20 months and he'll be moving to his new room.
I thought about it, and found toddler beds to just be a waste. you use them for a few years and then need to get a real (twin or full) bed anyway. i decided to just skip that step and get a low twin bed. (the room won't accommodate a full)
