Poli-Vi-Flor Question

Does anyone give their LO Poli-Vi-Flor, or any vitamin with fluoride? So I've been giving my DD Poli-Vi-Flor for about 2 months now in her first bottle of the morning, and the pediatrician just told me that it can't be mixed with milk or it will lose its effectiveness . She actually said to give the vitamin at least 2 hours before or after giving any products containing calcium (including milk). When do you give the vitamin? My DD still nurses every 2-3 hours...it seems impossible to give the vitamin without it losing its effectiveness. Hope this makes sense!

I noticed a label on the vitamins that said the same thing so I asked my ped about it bc my kids take it in their milk bottle too. She said it was fine to give it to them like that and in fact she gave it to her daughter teh same way.

I can't imagine having to give it to them by itself, that would never fly with them. I guess even if it does lessen the effects it's better then not having them at all which would be my only other option if I couldn't give it to them in their bottle.

I've been putting it in his morning bottle, which is followed by some yogurt... oops. I suppose it could be mixed in applesauce or other baby food, but there's usually a bottle with that too.

I could drive myself nuts with this kind of stuff.. I agree it has to better than not getting it at all.... I hope.
