Pocket Doors
Has anyone ever had pocket doors installed? I have a set of French doors that don't really work and I think there is enough room for pocket doors.
I live in a 1920s home with concrete walls. There is no insulation or traditional framing. It is a brick home.
What type of person do I hire to do this job? Approximately, how much am I looking at?

Re: Pocket Doors
I have pocket doors in my house and also had another one installed. But it's a sheetrock home. My old house was 1920s and I honestly think it would be too complicated to do this in that house, with all the lath and plaster, etc. What about hanging sliding doors?

Re: Pocket Doors
Most of my closets in our renovation have been pocket doors. We have sheet rock walls. No idea how you would do it on a concrete wall but you a GC will be able to tell you. I think if you have sheet rock infringing if the concrete you may be able to fit it.
