POAS - Cup vs. stream?

When you POAS do you catch your pee in a cup and dip, or do you pee right on the stick? Why?

well i have the ones you have to dip BUT even if i didnt i would still use a cup, someone on here made a good point - if the test doesnt work, you can retest right away. this has happened to me once already, where the control line never appeared and i had a heart attack and i was able to test right away ( BFN obv. )

Ahh brilliant! That makes sense. I was looking for a good reason either way to convince me.

I feel like an idiot for asking this, but, what kind of cup? How do you clean it?

i bought a huge package of the small dixie cups, i rinse them out and then throw them in the trash after

i guess you could reuse them as long as you dont drink out of them LOL but i find it more convenient to toss them - plus i would PROBABLY make up in my head that i was contaminating the sample. LOL

I pee in a cup and then dip.

It's just easier than having to pee on a stick. Plus if a test doesn't work I can use another test and dip back in the cup.

same here. and the first time i POAS i didn't get the stick wet enough (tmi) when I tried to pee directly on it so i used a cup from that point on.

Yep, Tilde pointed out exactly why I peed in a cup. Also, I could ensure that the right amount went on the stick etc.

Also, when I got my BFP, I was able to take a couple more tests right away to confirm that I wasn't just seeing things Chat Icon

Dixie cups... smart! I was imagining washing my pee out of a cup with soap and water every night and wasn't enjoying the image. Chat Icon

Re: POAS - Cup vs. stream?

somebody asked this last week I think. I definitely need to pee in a cup. I hate trying to 'aim' the stick. I'm too nervous that I'll get something wet that shouldn't be (lol) or that I won't be able to go as long as the test requires. So it's just easier to dip. Chat Icon
