Plumber... need drains snaked
Can anyone recommend a good plumber? I need 2 drains snaked.
Plus, if anyone knows approximately what this will cost, that would be a great help.

We had to have this done when we first moved into our house. My brother has a friend who is a plumber and he said "don't call a plumber". He told us to just call Roto Rooter. Something about how if the plumber is licensed then they have to charge you a certian rate just to walk through the door. And if they work for the union, then they're not even allowed to make house calls.

Where are you? You can't call a plumber too far from your home or they won't want to come or will want to charge you a lot more.
eta- we used to get charged about 85 to have a drain snaked in my old home. In my new home (new area) I paid almost double...
