Pls help with BD timing (a little long)

So my Dr always told us to BD about 3-5 days before I expect to O, then obstain until i get a positive OPK. My cycles have always been regular so this has never been a problem, but I had a chemical pregnancy last month so I think it has thrown me off a little bit. We BD on CD 8, and I usually get a positive OPK on CD 12. I tested twice yesterday and twice today and still negative and I am now on CD 13. Will it really make a differnece if we continue to obstain until the positive OPK, or should we BD tonight then wait for the positive? I think the Dr's point was to get all of the "old" sperm out and then give 3-5 days to regenerate "strong" sperm. As far as we know DS does not have sperm issues so I don't know if this relaly matters at all.

I think I am reading more into this cycle than usual because I am still dealing with the chemical from last month. Thanks for listening to my rambling.

I swear by Deann's plan - got pg first time using it both times (with DS it was our second month trying and first time Deanna's plan and with this pg it was our first month trying).

Try BD'ing every other day starting CD8 until you get a smiley on the OPK the BD the night of the smiley, the two next nights, skip a night and then one more night of BD.
