Please think great thoughts for this girl fighting cancer
This girl is from my hometown of Sag Harbor--although I do not know the family personally, I pray for this girl every night---Katy is fighting cancer--but she is on her way to recovery---the family is requesting strong prayers & great vibes!
Here is a journal entry from yesterday...
"....so, they sent her home sweet home. She will have the week to recover, and right back to chemo in one week. So, here's the deal...her AFP's are still high...they are currently in the 50's. We need them to be around 5 or 7....so we need to rebolster our efforts in the positive thinking, visualization, and prayer department. We thought they might be at 30 by now and so did the docs...and since they are not, the team thinks some microscopic cancer cells are hanging out where they are definitely not wanted, and they have revealed they are concerned....so, what we need your help with is, pray for AFP's to return to normal, and for Katy's body to heal and be right as rain again. We are staying the course...but the road will be longer than we wish, and the journey's end is not as close as we had hoped. More to go....But whatever it takes she is hanging in there, and that sweet girl is still smiling....as usual, we'll keep you posted on any news and updates we receive. KEEP THINKING GOOD THOUGHTS LIKE CRAZY!!!! "

The story is so sad-but they are so strong and positive and are confident she is going to kick cancers azz!

I will pray! My cousin's son had the same form of cancer. It is very rare. He has been in remission for awhile now. There is hope and the power of prayer I feel truly works!
