that the CONSTANT whining stops 
Dear Lord, I can't take it anymore!!
It's literally from the moment she wakes up, until she goes to bed. And she even does that whining!

I thought I was the only one!!!! I even thought is this even normal?!?!?! It's the same story with my dd. I barely have time to sit and eat! Hang in there!

i feel like i should walk around with earplugs! i tell DS to use his words and stop whining. usually it works, but when it doesnt i just walk away.

I feel you!
My DD is just turning one and she whines already.
Constantly. Incessantly.
I feel like for every minute she is happy, she spends 10 minutes whining and crying and screaming.
I don't even want to KNOW what will happen as she gets older.

My DD isalmost 5 and she still whines, especially when she doesn't get her way. I drives me insane!!!

I I was listening to 1010 am yesterday and there is actually a study that found the "whining" was the most annoying sound to adults, worst than crying, screaming, etc. Just thoughtbinteresting factoid thought I would share

Yes!! OMG When my mother is around all we get is "No No" (her version of Nonna) "No Nooooooooooooo"
after a mere hour of listening to her my mom goes "I think it's about time she goes home and naps" lol
And we're at her house at least 4x a week

We are going through that here too..And he only wants ME!!!! I am chalking it up to the 3 molars he just cut tin the last 2 weeks.. That is around when it started..One more to go..

i told DH that if he ever intends to get home late, he may find me curled up in the fetal position rocking back and forth from the constant whining. I hear "eh eh eh eh eh" ALL DAY LONG!
not that i can blame DS- at 9.5 months he doesn't know enough words to express himself.
although, DH has not been home late in over two weeks!

Crashing, but working in early childhood education I once heard a mom tell her son, "I can't hear you when you whine." I used that often when I was a pre-school teacher and it helped!

THIS! and it works!
I just look at him confused and say "I don't understand" he stops and tries to make the sound for whatever it is, and if its something he can't have "Oh you want this, sorry but you can't have this, you can have that or that" ... and it either is enough, or he breaks our screaming. I say "I know you want this, but I wont let you have it right now, find something else" He might protest for a minute, but I just sit down on the floor near him and just listen to him scream and if I can interject say "I know you want this" to him, like I understand him, and he just gives up in a minute and I don't feel like a horrible mom by ignoring him.

my daughter is 16 months & wines to be held, then wines to get down, then wines for her shoes, then throws herself backward in a tantrum because she wants them off. I have 3 boys, they were NEVER like this!  shes soooo cute though!
