Is there a site you refer to for healthy recipes for your baby?

I've been doing a lot if crock pot cooking lately and I think it's time to start feeding DS some of my food. Perhaps chopped up in the blender or processor.

I want to know what's okay to give him and what's not okay. Any good recipes to share out there?

My ped told us at 12 months my twins could have anything but nuts and shellfish. We feed them whatever we're having (but they still have baby cereal twice a day). Half of their food ends up on the floor but we try anyway:).

DS is 20 months but we have been feeding him what we eat since he was about 10 months. Whatever DH and I are having for dinner, he does as well. He loves all types of fish, spaghetti and meatballs, different turkey and chicken dishes, chili, hamburgers, at around 18 months I started giving him turkey franks cut up very small, he likes all kinds of homemade soups, pasta dishes. You name it, he eats it. He hasn't had pureed baby food in a year.

My twins eat whatever we eat. WIth a few extra finger foods, like waffles, and buttered pasta. We occasionally give them a pouch of baby food because they think it is a special treat to eat it by themselves, but only after they have eaten their meal.
Other then that I dont keep anything special in the house.
We were told no shell fish or nuts until they were 2 and no honey until they were 18m.

my girls have been eating non-baby food since they were 10 months old. we just cut the larger pieces up. We dont put it through the food processor.

My 16 month-old usually eats whatever we're eating for dinner. I cut it up into Cheerios-sized pieces for her (definitely not the blender!) Of course, I have her in mind when I'm cooking now so I don't make pot roasts or anything lately.

Chicken soft tacos: Grill up some chicken, slice it into small pieces, and serve it with black beans (whole ones are fine; they're really mushy), shredded cheese, and diced sauteed veggies all spread out on the tray. Serve yourself the same thing wrapped in a tortilla, with salsa or sour cream or whatever.

I make chicken roll-ups and she likes them because the chicken gets really soft when you bake it: Take thin chicken breast, put some chopped broccoli or spinach and cheese in the middle and roll it up. Put it in a casserole dish covered with tomato sauce and bake until the chicken is cooked through. Serve with some brown rice or whole-grain pasta with tomato sauce.

Or she likes it when I take ground turkey, cook it in a sautee pan, drain the fat, throw in mild salsa, heat to a simmer and cook that down til it thickens a bit, and serve it with veggies (I cut them and sautee them in vegetable broth so they get nice and soft and tasty with no extra fat or calories). That's easy to just crumble onto her tray.

If we're having something she can't (she has some allergies and we haven't given her fish yet either), I'll give her whatever side dishes we're having and heat up some chicken nuggets or a veggie burger for her.
