Re: Please settle a little debate
There's the Sheraton across from the convention center. It's about 3 blocks from the boardwalk. It doesn't have a casino so it probably appeals to families a little more. One time I went to use the pool and it was so crowded with kids I could have stepped on their heads to cross the pool and not get my feet wet.
There's a restaurant in the lobby and the outlet center is located between the hotel and the boardwalk so it's a nice/not desolated walk. I believe they offer shuttles to Caesers but I am not 100% sure of that.

I don't think AC in general is kid-friendly. I think people go there to get away from their kids

No offense to anyone's kids.. but personally, i go to the Borgata precisely because its a more upscale casino and hotel and kids are the last thing i want or expect to see there A lot of people go to AC to play as adults, and get away from kids.

I was just at Borgata with DH and our DD and I was shocked at how many families were there. The place was literally bursting with kids. But, we were there midweek and I would assume it would be different on the weekends.
And to answer the original question, AC isn't really a kid-friendly place in general. We took DD but there was not much for us to do with her (which we knew in advance).

Re: Please settle a little debate
someone else recently posted this question.
dh and I went to the Borgata for the 4th of July weekend, the pool was teeming with kids. And the pool was dirty too fyi. disappointed us on many levels. but we love the gambling!!!
AC is definitely a place we love to go to be around adults only.

My husband and I went to AC sometime in April I think? (it was a holiday week) and you would not believe how many kids were there. It was practically all families. DH and I were surprised since we always though AC was really for adults only.

The tropicana has a roof top pool, I saw a bunch of kids in it when we were there.

I don't get this. You don't want or expect to see kids there? It's not an adult only hotel. People have every right to bring kids there. Sorry.

ITA with this; and unless you are at the pool at the Borgata, its a great adult getaway.

Re: Please settle a little debate
We stay at the Wyndham by Resorts because that's where our time share is.
I believe you can rent rooms out on your own.
It's very kid friendly there (pool, activities, etc).
We were in AC at the end of July, beginning of August with my inlaws and 2 kids.
We did the amusement park, the beach and rainforest cafe during the daytime and at night my inlaws stayed in the room so we could play.
I have stayed at the casino with the kids before and felt it was a waste. They can only go certain places and I also feel that it should be adults only for the most part.

I get free rooms at the Borgata/Water Club and take my children with me. Why not? When I leave the kids with their grandmother...I stay at the Water Club. Water Club doesn't allow children under 18 at their pools.

Just b/c you have the 'right' to bring your kids - doesn't always mean it's appropriate -
The poster doesn't feel (and I agree) that it's an APPROPRIATE place for kids, which is why I leave my kid at home when I go to AC or Vegas - to ME, it's like, why bother going somewhere like that w/ a baby? - I doubt she's going to tell you to leave the hotel and take your kids with you ..........
