Well I dont like airing family laundry but I just got off the phone with my brother who has been having seizures for about 8 years he just had one, one day out of the blue and hasnt stopped. He is taking Dilantin and now has learned (today) that the right side of his brain is shrinking, he has been getting horrible headaches and went to the nueroligist (sp) and they looked at the MRI and sure enough there is shrinkage... So he is NC and not here I am beyond upset, I can bearly see my keys as I type, this is my little brother and we are SOOOO close, he had a seizure 2 days before Thanksgiving and I couldnt get a flight out I was a basketcase. The doctor said he might be able to have an operation but the risks include massive memory loss and possibly death. He has a hard time remembering basic stuff, we just always thought it was him ( he is a strange dude... in a good harmless way) I am just a t a loss and I dont know...needed to vent Thanks
Thank you all for the he is starting a new med today that is "supposed" to slow the shrinkage and help with the memory loss and also prevent seizures. Lets hope all the above go well. Thanks again
