You might want to look at the related topics at the bottom of the page, it might help you with a few threads that were posted on the topic.
I also know this was discussed on other boards as well, so you might want to do a search with the search feature at the top.

I did do a quick search, and came up with some that were further west.

you can also try lombardis on the sound in pt jeff,
3 village inn is close to the water, but not on the water...

In those areas - where abouts?
For instance, if in Suffolk, about where?
East Islip, Babylon, Riverhead, Northport, Port Jeff?

Mine was at Smithtown Landing country club. it i snear a river but not great for waterview. The food and price are great though.
