PLEASE help w/ DH's Bday Gift !!!
We have a list about 432 items long of stuff to be done on the house, so we decided spending a small fortune would be irresponsibel - Fine. But WHAT do you buy a 33 year old man who doesn't really need anything ???
I make a big deal about Christmas/Bday gifts NOT being 'house' related (like, oh we 'need' a new desk for the office, it will be his Bday present)
The only thing he wanted was a bike, but it was $1300 - so he said forget it (thank God) ........but he has all new snowboarding gear, fairly new golf stuff, hates getting clothese as gifts (I feel like I'm talking about a 12 year old!)
I really don't know what to get him and keep it in the $300 range ........ANY ideas ??? - He's a fairly 'typical' guy - Sports, ESPN, Xbox, Poker - he does love sailing - but hello, I'm not exactly in the market for a boat !!!!

Oh forget it, my husband is impossible to buy for, as well. His birthday is TOMORROW and I have nothing, still.
How about a gc to play golf somewhere he's been wanting to play?
Or, how about just taking him out for a really nice dinner?
Or various gc for varios things, like a gc to Sports Authority, then one to Best Buy or somewhere to buy video games?
A weekend away? (which I am doing this weekend as part of DH's gift because who the hell knows what to get him )
Does he like beer? A beer of the month club?

You actually do the motions for the video game. I think its around 300 for the console, but they are difficult to find. I got one for my birthday a few weeks ago and we love it.
It actually gets you off the couch and active, while still playing video games.
The boxing game is a tremendous workout!

If he's into sports memorabilia you can probably find something (baseball, football, Helmet, picture etc.) signed by his fav. player.
Even if he doesn't have anything like that yet he may really like it. Depending on the kind of fan he is.
ETA: What about a navagation system? Like Tom Tom??

He already has the xBox 360, the IPod that does everything, a Blackberry, -
He is like a walking map so the Tom Tom would be fabulous for me, but totally unnecessary for him - I wish our basement/bar was finished b/c then I could be him paraphenalia (sp) for the bar/poker room etc - (like the sports memorabelia someone suggested )
I suggested Sirius radio, but
----OOOH ! I just gave myself an idea ! He LOST his IPod hookup for the car !! - YAY !! I have a part of a gift now !!

How about a GPS system for his car. DH got this earlier this year and he LOVES it...its from garmin and a little over $300 on amazon and it works great.

How about an excursion....... DH is dying to fly so for his B-DAy I'm buying him flight time...so he can experience flying a plane...... they also have thinks like driving a race car in the poconos.... they might even have a sailing one... GL
