Please Help UPDATE
I've been pretty sick recently with a sinus infection for 3 weeks so I finally got in to see my general doc to get antibiotics. She knew that we're TTC so she recommended I do a blood test, this was only CD 12 so I was extremely skeptical that even IF anything would should up at all. So my blood work came back with Beta at 247, LH 10.2 and FSH 3.2. What does this mean? She claims I'm pregnant, but not sure...she doesn't deal a lot with these issues. Is it possible to find out or to be pregnant THAT early in the cycle? Do beta levels go out of wack during cycle surge? Help please. I'm afraid to get excited and I can't take a HPT.
UPDATE: So my HPT was positive, blood work indicated pregnancy but I just had a feeling....so RE was completely confused by my timeline and my BFP. I told him upfront I'm afraid to celebrate until I hear it from his mouth....he said to I was right to be skeptical that it's either abormal or ectopic....today my blood work came back.....miscarriage. Now just waiting it out. I think I took it pretty well considering we've been trying for a year and a half and this is the first BFP I ever saw. I did the typical things....took pictures of the test, ran around screaming with glee, bought baby shoes that say "I love my daddy" all that time knowing something was wrong, but it was my first time....so now it's time to get over it and move on. I look at it as a glass half full....at least now I know I CAN get pregnant. Thank you for staying with me through this.

Re: Please Help
It sounds like you are pregnant!
With a blood work beta hcg that high, you will HPT positive (of course).
That's a high beta hcg for CD 12. You may have ovulated sooner than you thought.

I'm holding my breath. Afraid to believe it until I see it and hear it from my REs mouth. Progestrone is pretty low though. I'm so confused wtih the numbers....need my RE to sort it all out.

Re: Please Help
Sounds disgusting, but use a Neti pot for your sinus infection. It WILL help. I did it while I was pregnant.
BTW, yep, you're pregnant. Congratulations are in order.

Re: Please Help
Are you sure that you had a period and not just heavy spotting? I sometimes get very heavy spotting in the middle of my cycle, right before I ovulate. Is it possible that it was this and not a real period? That would be consistent with your HCG level if you were actually 12 DPO.

Re: Please Help
Any beta hcg above 5 is considered pregnant. You body does not produce hcg if you are not pregnant (except in some very rare cases). Were you on CD12 or 12DPO? Are you sure you had a period?

Re: Please Help
My period was for full 5 days full flow started on the 25th of December, plus I had a beta test from my RE that came back negative on December 23rd. I'm so confused. I am completely convinced they made a mistake....it doesn't seem possible.

Re: Please Help
I have found out as early as 7DPO. Granted by beta was only a 6 at that point but it is detectable that early.

Re: Please Help
I called my RE, the nurse said that it's definitely possible that I am pregnant. I set up an appointment for Monday for blood and sono. My HPT came back positive, but from what I've been reading I'm getting nervous that the numbers are a little too high too soon. Still confused. THank you for your support and input I'll definitely keep you posted. I'm going to tell DH tonight over dinner. I promised him he'd know as soon as I did no matter what.
