Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
Here is Chloe's schedule! Please tell me what I am doing right/wrong or anything in-between. I need advice! I am just not good at this!
5:30 AM - 6 oz bottle w/2 tbs of cereal
7:45 AM - Whole Jar of Stage 3 Fruit
8:45 AM - 2-3 OZ bottle w/2 tbs of cereal (then she usually falls asleep for her nap
11:45 AM-12:00 PM - 8 oz bottle w/ 2tbs of cereal
3:00 PM-3:30 PM - 8 oz bottle w/ 2tbs of cereal
5:00 PM - Whole Jar of Stage 3 Vegetable
Bottle Total - 24 OZ **She was a reflux baby (started the rice cereal in her bottles at 6 weeks). She has recovered (thank God) but I still do the rice cereal. I know I am prob giving her too much still, 8 tbs a day, no? I guess I should also try giving it to her on a spoon, not in her bottle anymore?
Should I now at 9 MOS add a lunch solid and eliminate another bottle or is 24 OZ at 9 MOS of formula still needed? I also haven't tried that YO Babby Yogurt yet, so confused!
HELP

Re: Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
At that age I gave my girls their bottle with the meal(as soon as they finished their food). Personally, I feel like It gets them into the 3 meals a day mode and is alot easier on mommy. Otherwise you are constantly feeding them IMO They got breakfast, lunch and dinner and a bedtime bottle. As they ate more they got less formula and by 1 year they got 3, 5oz sippy cups of milk. Does your DD get a bedtime bottle??? I did not see that in your schedule?

Yes, at 5:00 PM , she goes to bed at 5:30--sleeps til 5:15 AM. I go to work early so this schedul works for me. Although now that I am hme for the Summer is stinks that I have to wake up so early! Thanks for the idea!

Re: Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
I am no expert, but I agree with the 3 meals that the PP mentioned. I give cereal and fruit in the morning, a little fruit and veggie at lunch time, and cereal and veggie at dinner. She has bottles between the meals, but never right before. I also give her some puffs as a snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon, when her sister gets her snack. I also think that the cereal is important because as they get older, you can make it thicker and it gets them ready for table food.

Re: Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
Like the other posters said, I would definitely start moving to 3 meals a day. At 9 mos DD rejected baby food and we moved onto super soft table foods.
Also - you said she gets a 5pm bottle. So she gets 8oz at 3, and then 8 more at 5?

Re: Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
DS is 9 months- his schedule is:
6:30am- 6oz bottle 7:30am- 2 tbsp oatmeal, stage 2 fruit 11:30am- 4oz bottle 12:30pm- yobaby yogurt, stage 2 veggie 3:30pm- 4oz bottle 5:30pm- 2 tbsp oatmeal, stage 2 "meal" (meat/veggie), fruit 6:30pm- 6oz bottle
I would suggest cutting out the cereal in the bottles and giving it during the mealtime (I mix it with the fruit or veggie). You can definately go to 3 meals a day. I also give him puffs and any table food he will eat (not too interested in it just yet though). Plus you can start giving a sippy cup with water.

Re: Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
DS is 10 months but his schedule has been like this for 2 months now:
7:30am 7 oz. bottle.
8:30am - i jar fruit with 3-4 tablespoons dry rice cereal mixed in.
12:30pm - 7 oz. bottle
1:00pm - 1 jar veggie with 3-4 tablespoons dry rice cereal mixed in OR a meat/veggie combo.
5:30pm - either i jar veggie or table food - for example, tonight he had chicken breast.
6:30pm - 7 oz. bottle
we are learning that even though he eats a good amount of food, the bottle is still his primacy food source, and when he eats the food first he needs the bottle soon after. when he has the bottle first, he needs to wait 45 minutes to an hour to be hungry enough to eat his food.
hope that made sense

Re: Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
I make DS 3 8oz bottles every morning. But, he sometimes only takes 6 or 7 ounces. I still make the 8 just in case he wants more.
Here is what DS gets:
7:15am- 6-8oz bottle
8:30am- Stage 3 Fruit and Cereal
12:00pm- 6-8oz bottle
3:00pm- Dora Yogurt and/or Applesauce (strawberry applesauce/regular applesauce...whatever is on sale. Not baby applesauce though)
5:00pm- 6-8oz bottle
7:00pm- Stage 3 Veggie, applesauce, some of whatever we are eating for dinner. So, he will get small piece of our meat or some cheese. I also have given him stage 2 or 3 meats as well (although, he isn't too fond of the stage 3 meats)
8:00-9:00pm- bed time
**He also gets cookies (arrowroot, Gerber pinwheels, or gerber teether cookies) at least 1 time per day as a snack.

Re: Please Help Me With My 9 MOS Old Feeding Schedule - LONG
My son will be 10 months on Sat. I will give you what we did before he refused baby food and now - its pretty similiar, just no baby food.
Before 5:30/6 - Bottle 6 oz 9 - Breakfast - oatmeal and a stage 2 fruit/water 11 - Bottle 6 oz 12:30 - Lunch - yogurt and a stage 2 fruit or veggie/water 3 - Snack - puffs/yogurt melts/etc and water 5:30 - Dinner - Stage 2 veggie and fruit. He started to eat some pastina during this time and little bites of our food 7 - bottle - 6 oz.
Now - 5:30/6 - Bottle 6 oz 9 - Breakfast - either a pancake/waffle/cereal bar and a fruit (apple sauce or cut up pears, peaches, pineapples, apples, canteloupe or watermelon) 11 - Bottle 6 oz 12:30 lunch - sometimes still a yogurt or a open faced grilled cheese or pastina or ravioli (something like that) and a fruit (see above) and a dr. praegars veggie nuggets (2 or 3 of them) 3 - Snack (same as above) 5:30 dinner similiar to lunch but he also gets chicken or meat - pretty much whatever we are eating and a fruit and veggie. 7 - bottle 6 oz. HTH!

Sorry, I'm totally confused. You posted to someone else that she gets a 5pm bedtime bottle. I thought that was way too much, since that would bring your total to 32oz and that could affect the amount of solids she is eating.

I would cut out the cereal in the bottles. My DS is 9 months and he basically gets his 3 meals a day and 8 oz bottles every 4 hours.
