Please Help- Injectables?
Hello, I have to order gonal- f injectables and a friend of mine told me to order enough for 3 cycles.... when I talked to Freedom today they told me they have me down for 900 with 7 pens and 1 refill. Is this enough for 3 cycles if Im going to be on 150? Im so sorry, I just have NO idea how this works and want to order the correct amount before it goes through my insurance. TIA

If you are on 150iu, a 900iu pen is good for 6 days. How many days does your Dr expect you to take them for. My RE says anywhere from 10-12 days. So if you are on them for 12 days...you'd need 2 pens. Depending on how well you respond to the 150iu, you could get 3 cycles out of 7 pens.
Hopefully...you will only need the two!

I do not go to Dr B. But with that being said, I have noticed that a lot of ladies on here who do use him have very similar protocols. The best patient is a proactive patient....give them a ring in the morning to double check!

i was on that protocol...i used one pen...and then i have a refill for the next cycle if need be...hope that helps

Why would you do 3 cycles of injectables?
Most people I know only did 1 or 2.
The medication is EXTREMELY expensive.... and depending on your insurance... it can really take a toll if you have a maximum lifetime amount for infertility medicine.
Don't forget, it expires.
Much of how much you need depends on how you respond (which may be to less than 150 or more). I was cut back from 150. I wouldn't order too much. I think what you have ordered sounds like a lot more than what I had gone through in total (including IVF).

This is what i did. 5mg of femara along with 150ius of Gonal-F everyother day for 4 days. I see Dr. B. It worked for me. The Gonal-F is VERY expensive. My lifetime prescription for infertility was maxed out.
