Please Help--Ideas for SHower gift?
I am planning the shower for my friend here at work...I want to give a gift that is unique, thoughtful and useful...do not want touse gift certificates at all.
Please give any and all suggestions!

If she knows what sex the baby is and has a name, then maybe a baby blanket with the name embroidered on it? I got that once and I love it!

stefanie ordered those cool letters for her sons' room off of Ebay...that's a cool gift.
a basket of easy to prepare foods for her DH to make (spaghetti, jar of sauce, etc)
a personalized blanket
check Ebay for unique baby gifts/personalized stuff.

If they know what they are having and have a name picked out I think anything personalized is great! Try Lenox.com under the baby section, or Lillianvernon.com , or ThingsRemembered.com all for great stuff!!!
One of my Favorite gifts was someone got me the baby bathtub and filled it with all the shampoo, body wash, baby powder, rash cream, towels, pj's, washclothes, and bath toys I could ever need inside!! It was such a great gift that I usually do it for shower gifts myself now!
