Plane toys for a 10 month old

Can anyone suggest any good small, non-musical/silent toys that would be good for a 3 hour plane ride with my 10 month old DD?

Bonus points if the toy is able to be secured by one of those toy straps so she can't throw it at any of the other passengers!!

We flew when my twins were 13 months.

We brought..a portable dvd player (we didn't use the sound), cups/spoons (they love to play with them), stickers, books, cards (their valentines day cards-they love to "read" them), lots of snacks and a few of their other favorite toys.

I don't think any toy will keep her interest for 3 hours, so I would bring snacks!

We just flew with DS at 10.5 months and he had no interest in the toys we brought. We picked some of his favorites from home and we also had our laptop with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on it. He wanted no part of any of it.

What he did like was putting the window shade up and down. Eating the magazine and emergency instruction card, touching the seatbelt, playing with a plastic cup given to him by the stewardess and eating puffs. Honestly I'd just bring a ton of snacks and try to keep them busy with that.

Good luck!

We always bring a ton of books to read on the plane plus the iPad. Once we're high enough the iPad can keep her attention for at least an hour.

As a PP said... they're more interesting in looking around and grabbing at everything. I did bring some toys, light up stuff, IPad and movies.

Don't forget snacks and the bottle for taking off and landing.

Lysol wipes a must!! Especially they touch EVERYTHING and then either try and put it in their mouths or hands in their mouths after.

I pretty much wipes down everything from the window, tray (front and back) and the arm rest. Plus, any toys kept falling on the floor so that got wipes, but it pretty much landed on our carry-on.
