Placenta near cervix
I went for the second part of the nt scan tonight. I'm 16 weeks and was told the placenta is near my cervix. I was told I have to take it easy and not lift heavy things. I made an appointment for the level II in four weeks but the sono technician told me my doctor may make me come in sooner. ( I have an appointment with him in 3 weeks anyways. )
Anyone have the placenta near the cervix early on and then it moved further away later on? I'm trying not to freak myself out.

Placenta near cervix
At about 23 weeks mine was 2cm away. At about 26 weeks it was more then 4cm away. It's not so much that it moves, its that your uterus grows and takes the placenta with it.
I had to lift my 2yo DS over those 3 weeks, didn't have much of a choice. I tried not to as much though.

Mine was basically covering my cervix almost entirely at 12/13 weeks, it had shifted significantly by 18 weeks and was in a normal position by 20 weeks. My doctor didn't put me on any restrictions because I had no symptoms, bleeding/cramping. Hope this helps! Hope yours moves soon.

I know it's hard but try not to panic yet. As your uterus grows, it'll pull the placenta up and away from the cervix.

i had a almost complete coverage and bleeding issues from it including a ruptured placenta
it has since moved but not that much
as long as u take it easy and no lifting u will be ok

Mine was close to my cervix still at 27 weeks. by 29-30 weeks it moved far enough up that they were not concerned anymore. I was told 95% of them move up the further along you are.

Placenta near cervix
I had that at 12 weeks and again at 19 weeks my first pregnancy but by 28 weeks it was completely cleared. Had no problems and was never on bed rest and never bled.
Early on, there's not a lot of places for the placenta to be, but as your uterus grows, it moves up and out of the way most of the time.
