Pity Party - Bad News-Fertilization Report
Of the 12 retrieved yesterday, only 5 fertilized. While we could go ahead with PGD I couldnt see flushing over $5K down the toilet on only 5, so we are going to freeze what we have and I will start a whole new stim cycle next month. Needless to say I am not too happy and feeling pretty bad for myself. I feel like this is never going to happen for me.

I know how hard this is, but at least if you combine the two cycles you will have enough to PGD with a good ratio.

ITA! I'm so sorry. Try to stay positive, though I know it's hard! That's amost a 50% fertilization rate which in itself is GREAT!!! Be happy for the little things right now sweetie---- and we'll see what next cycle brings!!!

I know it is hard, but Gertyrae is right!
Also, if it gives you some hope, we were expecting 8 eggs, only got 4, 3 fertilized, we decided to go ahead with the PGD and all 3 were healthy! Try not to be so down. I know exaclty what you are feeling/going through! Batching is an excellent idea though!
