Picture People

Sorry if this is long....

I went to Picture People today to take DS' Christmas pics. Overall I am happy with the pictures, but I am SO pissed with the woman that showed us the pictures, because she edited a picture and did not give me the original. Basically, on the side of one of the pictures, you could see the floor of the store and not the background. So she cropped a the pic which was initially a full body pic to a torso and up pic. I thought she was just showing it to me, and not actually saving the picture cropped. When I got home, I realized that the CD only had the cropped version of the pic. I am upset because that was the only good full body pic of DS and the pic did not need that much cropping to remove the portion of the floor. Do you think they still have the original pic?


Also, FYI....if you purchased the groupon from a while ago, the email for the groupon said that you would be able to get the CD for half off but the voucher does not. If I did not print out the email for the groupon, I would not have been able to get half off. The woman that I dealt with at Roosevelt field acted all confused. She also acted pissed that I was using the groupon and my only additional purchase was going to be the CD.

The prob still have the original. I would call to find out. They cropped one of my pics too that i had them print but I had it resolved while there.

As to the groupon, I used that and purchased the cd too. At first they charged me full price and I fought them on that. Got it for the $75. Before all this, the manager attempted to convince me left and right into buying other packages, frames, etc. tried telling me that I wouldn't get a frame to fit the big picture. I told him oh dont worry, I'll buy a bigger frame, cut, and mat it. He's like oh why go through all the trouble. I said I'm a SAHM, I have plenty of time to work on it when he kept hounding me, I said look you're making it really hard for me to want to come back here... So he gave up and actually gave me a free membership... LOL

I would def call or go there to see if they have the original pic. As far as the groupon, I had no problem using mine. I got the High res. cd and a 3-picture frame for $100 and $5 off the x-mas photo cards.

I have to say that I was not nearly as happy with Picture People this time around as I was for her 3-month pictures. The photographer was very nice, but she didn't get as many good shots, and there were several times where she got parts of the store/floor in the picture, and not just the backdrop. However, the girl who showed me the photos was just RUDE and was not happy that we were just using the Groupon/buying the CD at half off. I am a portrait club member, and she tried to tell me that I couldn't get everything that I was entitled to, until I showed her the fine print.

Anyhow, I didn't mean to hijack...I hope you can get the original photo. I will not be using them around holiday time again. They are too busy and I felt so rushed.

Thanks for all the comments ladies. I just got off the phone with them and the guy I spoke with confirmed that the pic I was talking about was zoomed in. He offered to make me a new CD and I will pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully it will all work out.

I had issues with a CD once and i was telling my lady and she said "Just bring it back and we could fix it for you" I was like "oh that makes sense"

i had no issues with the groupon at all.

But... I am in Texas
