pickling time - harvesting
today i am canning three bottles of pickles. Then starting on the next batch. All half sour. Next harvest of cucumbers will be bread and butter.
String beans came out two weeks ago with a bang but is now slowed to probably a handful for the last three days. Not sure if its over - hopefully i get more flowers and string beans again before the season is over because i want to try pickling them.
Tomatoes all out but not red - going to make sundried tomatoes in olive oil, stewed tomatoes and of course just eat them fresh.
Peppers are slow for me - just have two tiny ones so far. My father's garden has TONS almost ready for harvesting so not sure why that happened.
lettuce i just got off the heads last week but they are growing back so i might have more!
Garlic is not ready yet, herbs been harvesting on and off and the CORN IS AMAZING!!! I think I have another two weeks then i can harvest my first ears.
Next year I am doing a HUGE section of the yard in corn, cucumbers, fewer tomato plants, fewer peppers and I am doing potato bins with a mix of purple and gold fingerland.

Mmmmm, sounds like you have a great garden!
We've been harvesting our squash, green beans and lettuce.

Re: pickling time - harvesting
Weird, I have 3 different types of peppers and they are just now budding. My 2nd crop of cukes is coming in now and the eggplant should be ready in a few days.
So glad that someone else is having pepper issues and it's not just me.
