Phytomatrix?
Ok, so I had my "pre conception" appointment today with my midwife.
And as far as prenatals are concerned I have to take Phytomatrix 2 tablets, 2 times a day. And then I have to take an additional folic acid (400mg) a day.
Anyone else take Phytomatrix? It seems to be super expensive. The person my midwife told me to buy them from is $40 for 1 month supply..
TIA

Re: Phytomatrix?
I take Prima Care One. IMHO, it seems ridiculous to take a prenatal and then have to take folic acid on top of it. Do you have a specific issue that requires the extra folic acid? If so, why not prescribe a vitamin that already contains the higher level of folic acid??

I take PrimaCare One also and don't take an extra folic acid on top of that. My RE said that there's enough folic acid in PrimaCare. HTH!

Well I go to a midwife so she wants me to take a specific "all natural" vitamin and feels it doesn't carry enough folic acid, therefore the additional supplement. The Phytomatrix gives 400 mg of folic acid a day and she says its best to have 800. So she said to get an additional folic acid pill with 400mg in 1 dose. Oye..
edited for typo..
