Physical paper invite vs online invite
What do you use? Do you mail actual invites (and/or put them in kids backpacks) or do them online (paperless post, evite, etc)?
Dd1 I've done physical invites for her 1st and 2nd parties. This year debating doing paperless post.
Dd2 will do a physical invite for her 1st.

Re: Physical paper invite vs online invite
I do paper invites but I honestly don't care. My cousin is doing a 1st bday party for her DD this month and the invites came via Facebook.

Paper for school.
Online for family friends.
I personally prefer online so we can send a reminder the day before. And then it goes into people's calendars.

I can't argue that online is way more convenient to send and for rsvps, BUT I prefer a paper invite.

This.
I usually send paper but for the first time this year for DD"s last bday I did evite and it was pretty convenient and fun to manage and read responses- and of course it was free!'
I think I may stick to evites for my kids bday parties from now on. However, anything more formal though I would def send paper invites.
I still love getting paper invites in the mail but quite honestly between postage and the invites - I end up spending at least 20-30 bucks on invitation-just doesn't seem worth it for a kids birthday party which is already overpriced! lol (and then another 20-30 on thank you cards!-- which are a non negotiable IMO).
So I say for a regular birthday party - use on line evite and paper thank you.
Btw-- I feel like I used to use evite ALL the time 15 years ago and then I stopped altogether and now its back en vogue.. am I imagining this??

I love online - they send reminders, they let you know people received them, and it's easy to respond.

Hate online. I don't take them seriously for some reason, it does seem like a "real" event. I only do paper and have mostly received paper. I also have missed emails on plenty of occasions and have seen people just not receive emails (this happens to DH constantly, they don't go to spam even, they just don't go through). I would never use online invites for anything more than a casual bbq.

I just got an online invite and I liked it. I can check from anywhere what time the party is and where.
