Photographer recs
I am BLOWN away by Summer Lyn, but unfortunately cannot afford her right now...can anyone rec someone kind of "like" her, but def more afforadable?

I think September Blue, Leslie Simmons and Buratino Photography have similar styles. Have no idea of their prices.

I feel like most photographers today have a very similar style , it's just the matter of how good their work is : sharpness , lighting ,composition and their prices of course.
I always see similar style pictures posted on LIF and FB . Some are better than others but very similar. If you go on FB and search photographers or search the business section on LIF you can see and compare their work and prices, we use Tamtaphoto and love her, her work is beautiful , bunch of my friends and family use her too and they love her work. Her prices are so reasonable too.
One of my friends used Forever fireflies last year and she absolutely loved her. Pictures came out beautiful.
My SIL used RLS this spring because Our photographer was booked and was not happy at all and will never use her again. So it really comes down to what you like and how much you can pay.

She's awesome!! Trust me - you wont be disappointed. She took pics of my son at the beach this May for his 3rd birthday and her pics blew me away!

I also think it depends what you are looking for.
If you are okay with doing an indoor shoot, I see nothing bad about using one of the photographers you may find at a (gasp!) mall location.
I am skeptical about going the private route since I had a bad experience with Christmas photos a couple of years ago.
I could barely afford the Christmas cards the woman did----they came out gorgeous but she only got one good shot of him and they were crazy expensive (like $300-$400). I would have NEVER gone that route on my own but kind of felt like I had to since it was an extended family shot.
She was also vague about her prices in advance of the shoot.

Photographer recs
I have used September Blue and Jenise Maria, loved both but can't afford Sept Blue anymore and I don't think Jenise is shooting right now. Just did a mini session with three14 and he was great also. Haven't seen the pics on computer yet but the shots he showed from the camera looked awesome.
