Personal Loans
Has anyone ever taken out a personal loan? If so, was it a lengthy process? Any experience you can share, would be greatly appreciated!!

This was a few years ago. I think it took a couple days for everything to be processed. I remembering applying online and I believe they gave me the approval but then I needed to go down to the bank the next business day for them to finish everything up. I can't remember if I got the money then or if it was sent.

They usually carry a higher interest rate- we went to get a couple years ago to consolidate our credit cards/student loans and it was like 13% 
So if you can possibly take a home equity loan that would be better

That's exactly what we want to do! Consolidate our debt without ruining our credir through those debt consolidation companies. I found a few with a 8-9% rate, and I'm really contemplating it! Now with the baby coming, I can't stand sitting down and paying bills. If we can have ONE payment to make and shred all of our credit cards, I'd be a VERY happy mama!
