Per-term Labor

So on Tuesday, I was at my regular BPP appointment and the monitor picked up contractions every four minutes. I was sent to Labor and Delivery and monitored and they continued. I am 1 cm dilated and that didn't change...my cervix is still long. I also had a positive FFN test. I've been on modified bed rest since then and at my appointment today, I had no cervical change, though the contractions haven't lessened at all.

I also have high blood pressure (prior to pregnancy) and GD.

So anyone else have these issues and go to term? I can't imagine being this uncomfortable for the next 9 weeks!

Re: Per-term Labor

I was in preterm labor with contractions less than 3 mins apart at 26 weeks! I went to L & D and was giving indocen to stop the contractions. My cervix was short and opening, but not dilated. I also had a negative FFN. I was put on strict bedrest after that until full term. I ended up being induced on DS due date bc the baby was getting too big. From what I understand though, a positive FFN means your likely to go into labor within the next 2 weeks. How far along are you?

I'm surprised with all that going on you're not on strict bed rest! I would be laying down and staying hydrated. How far along are you?

Re: Per-term Labor

I had pre-term labor at 31-32 weeks and had pregnancy induced hypertension. I made it to term, induced at 37 weeks and change, with modified bed rest.
