How about looking in the Lehigh Valley area...that's where I moved.
Towns to look in - Easton, Bethlehem, Hellertown, Saucon Valley, Macungie...

I live in the Philadelphia area - a suburb that's about 15 miles outside the city - only 15 minutes train ride to work everyday and on the weekends we go into the city, which is turning into a really cute city. We absolutely ADORE our area - it's very diverse, the houses are old and rich with character... and still affordable. If you type 19027 as the zip code into realtor.com, you'll see the houses around where we live...
