Pee Performance Anxiety
Do you have this?
You head to bathroom to pee and walk in and see someone in there already - either in a stall or at the mirror. It's even worse when they know you and you start chatting and then you go into the stall and you're trying to carry on the conversation as if things are normal, but you are trying to pee.
Or, you go into stall at work or out somewhere and you have to pee badly. But you can't, because other people are in there.
You just sit there praying to pee and it doesn't happen. You try to close your eyes and remember that everyone pees, but you still can't do it.
***** is this?? I sooo suffer from this. And when I finally start to pee, it's pathetic. It's not a loud "whooosh" like I hear other people do. No. It's like..drip... drip..drip drip drip.. it's like an overly-cautious pee. It's like my pee is ashamed.
I couldn't wait to come home and post this and see that I'm probably not alone.

i'm completely like you. IDK why. I don't want to be like that, but i can't help it.
At work I would hold it in until they left the bathroom. And naturally as 1 left someone else would walk in. Sometimes i'd be in there like 20 mins just to pee!

so good to know I'm not alone!!
I swear, people will chat me with in the next stall over and they are peeing so fast and perfectly and I'm like so jealous of their ability to pee and chit chat, and I'm pathetically trying to talk back to them....like, "Yeah...so...weather is crazy today, right?"
Meanwhile, they are all done and I'm still in there, still trying to pee. They finally leave and then I feel like they must think I have IBS or something. I don't. I just can't pee and talk. Or pee and have someone in the room. Ugh.
I'm such a weird creature.

I have this SO bad. Like terrible.
Bad enough that I literally will drink a gallo of water on the way to the dr because Im terrified I wont be able to pee in the stupid cup....
It's terrible terrible terrible.
The day of my wedding I went exactly once and I made my cousin turn on all the faucets and sing the ABC's really loudly so I could pee with her in the stall holding my dress.

And if my work buddy is in the next stall as me... I say... "WE ARE PEEING TOGETHER KIM, YOU LOVE ME"...
then i hear her laughing away in the stall next to me.
Now POOPING is a total other story!!!!

I just have to say that your posts are the best and funniest!
We have individual bathrooms (one men's, one ladies), so a line often forms outside the door and you can hear people complaining if you take too long. It's so much pressure! Plus, the bathrooms are right off the lunch room, so everyone sees you come and go. I hate it!

Yes and I say times tables in my head 2, 4, 6 and by the time I get to 8 I can go! Crazy yes, but for me it works! lol

If I feel like I'm in a rush, I can't pee! I get too stressed. Like if I know someone else is waiting to use the bathroom for example. Even if I have to go really bad! I know it's all mental, I want to figure out how to get over it!

People in general, no. People i know, yes. Seems so weird going to the bathroom and your coworker/friend/family member wants to BS with you while you are peeing. Ive never held it but it certainly feels embaressing. I actually feel worse for men.

I'd say mine is moderate. Sometimes if it's dead quiet in the bathroom and there's just two of us, I kinda have to wait for them to start to be able to go. But more often than not, no problem.

Mine is moderate, never in my home even if we have company, usually if I am out. I have had to go so far as to use images of running water, etc. in my head to go!
