Pediatrician recommendations
Does your pediatrician have to be affiliated with the hospital that you deliver in? Someone mentioned this to me.. I didn't think that was necessary.
Anyway, can you recommend your pediatrian who has weekend hours? In the Babylon area? Thanks!

no your pediatrician doesn't have to be affiliated with your hospital. they'll just have the pediatrician on staff check the baby and most pediatricians ask that you call them after the baby is born and bring the baby in with 24-48 hours after discharge.
we are going with Seaford Pediatrics and they are not affiliated with our hospital.

Mine is, and they said they still won't come to the hospital. They told me to use the on staff pedi and then see them 4 days after discharge.

We use Dr. George for DS and I love him. Obviously will be using him for this one as well lol. We travel from Amityville to see him, he's that great.
