Re: peanut butter
Doctors claim that if you eat peanut butter in excess that your child can develop an allergy to it...I read somewhere that it only pertains to moms who already have some sort of existing allergies...weird...just eat it in moderation.

I was told not to eat in my third trimester and it was REALLY hard b/c I couldn't eat much. I have no food allergies, just an allergy to latex. HTH

this just goes to show you how every doctor has a different opinion. When i asked my doctor if i should avoid peanuts/peanut butter, he laughed.

Re: peanut butter
My doctor said she thought nuts in moderation are fine. Ask yours, but I think you can enjoy esp. if you do not have nut allergies yourselves.

Re: peanut butter
My OB never said a word about peanut butter. I have it 2-3 times a week.

Re: peanut butter
I eat it in moderation but I did ask my OB and he said as long as I dont have any family history of peanut allergies there is not need to avoid it, other than it being high it fat.
