Paying it forward - Hurricane Harvey donations
Long Beach is paying it forward by filling up a big rig truck with supplies and sending it down to Houston.
The truck was already taken care of through gofundme but they are collecting supplies through 5 pm on Friday.
I am heading there to drop off on Friday so if you're in Central Nassau and can't get down there I'd be happy to give you my address and you can drop off at my house in Hicksville.
The list is here somewhere but NO CLOTHES PLEASE.
(I think Lindenhurst might be doing something similar but I'm not 100% sure.)info here

Re: Paying it forward - Hurricane Harvey donations
They just posted on facebook that they need to rent another truck!!! AMAZING! They have receive so many donations etc. There is a gofundme account sent up to pay for the truck etc. As a LB resident I am so proud of my community and as a survivor of Sandy we know what the people of Texas/Houston are going thru. It is so sad and devastating what is going on.

The organizers posted on the LB Mom's site that $25 gift cards are best but they aren't turning goods away. She also asked for people to please drop off at St. Mary's on Park Avenue if they can as that is where the truck will be loaded. If you drop off at the other drop sites they'll need to transport it to St. Mary's to be organized, packed, and loaded.

Thanks again for the info! I dropped off bags of non perishables, cat and dog food and cases of water today. Others were dropping a bunch of items as well.
The donation room had piles of supplies. So heartwarming to see how generous and caring people are! I am so thankful to Superior for organizing this!!!
