Party help

We are catering a party at home for about 35 people

We are having guy Anthony do a BBQ package. I am trying not to spend to much money so I need so input.

I am getting a fruit and cheese platter for appetizers

Main course
Burgers, hotdogs
Chicken breast over mesculen greens
BBQ chicken and ribs
Teriyaki lamb
Marinated steak
Corn on the cob
Grilled veggies
Pasta salad
Potato salad
Cucumber and tomato salad

I am also getting cheese and spinach pies
And making Greek salad

Dessert
Baklava
Cupcakes
Italian cookies
cake
Maybe chocolate covered strawberries
Sailboat cookies, but those are favors

Should I get some more appetizers?
Like shrimp cocktail?.
Or bean dip with chips and salsa,
Do you think I need more sides for the main course?.. And is dessert enough?, should I get a cheese cake also?.

Thank you

Re: Party help

I would also have a veggie and dip platter and some chips or pretzels in case people want to munch. ETA - Costco has a veggie platter for about $12. You can get a big bag of pretzels too.

I think you can serve the spinach pies as an app.

Everything else sounds great.

I think you are good. That is a ton of food - I wouldn't add anything and would be comfortable taking 2 or 3 main course items off the list if you are looking to cut expenses a bit.

If you decide to add munchies, may I suggest one of those lays variety packs? I was at a bbq the other day and I thought it was brilliant. Many flavors to choose from and they were fresh all day long. I saw a box of them in waldbaums last week.
